Wife and I considering canceling prenatal care. Feedback? Wise?

please do not stop going to the doc, use state aid if you have to, i have had two babies both were premature #1 was born in a military hospital she was in the neonatal intensive care for almost two months the bill 350.00 because she was in a military hospital. # 2 came after hubby got out of the army, his hospital stay was almost 3 months in 2 different hospitals in two states(birth hospital not equipped to take care of him)thank God we did have some insurance, but it didn't cover everything, his bill about scared the life out of me 48 pages 8x10,but the insurance paid all but one ambulance trip, his total bill was over $50,000 and that was 30 years ago. i shudder to think what he would cost today.the first one weighed 2 lbs 9oz, the second was even smaller 1 lb 13 oz. the insurance didn't want to cover to tie my tubes but they would have covered his vasectomy but he didn't want one and i couldn't risk another pregnancy the insurance would have rather pay for another premature baby but not to tie my tubes,Until doc made it medically necessary.
