Good all-inclusive in Riviera Maya Mexico?
Bill, I’ve been there a few times and have done a lot of homework trying to find the right hotel (one of the trips for my honeymoon). To be honest with you, you are going to find most of the resorts will be able to accommodate most of your criteria, but the cost will depend naturally on time of year as well as the length of your flight. Your best to look into some of the larger chains which offer a fairly good range in 4 to 5-star accommodations, that generally can accommodate the supply of tourist at any time of the year – this will of course offer you more a la carte restaurants, larger pools, as well as better services throughout the resort. The ones I stayed in were the Barcelo and Iberostar chains. Since these are all-inclusive, you’re not going to run into any difficulties in finding something to eat or drink. The average person is probably not going to be unhappy with the choice of drinks offered – usually domestic for the beers, and a well stock bar on liquors and vinos. If you’re looking for upgrades, you may want to focus your search on 5 star resorts. Have fun.
